'tentando sobrescrever o arquivo já no pacote shotwell-common' durante a instalação do shotwell do PPA

Estou tentando atualizar minha versão do Shotwell. Bem, meu sistema Ubuntu é. Eu estou recebendo o seguinte erro do apt-get. Alguém pode me dizer como resolvê-lo? Eu tentei algumas coisas diferentes, agora pedindo ajuda.

Experimente este comando no terminal

sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/shotwell_0.15.1-1~saucy1_i386.deb

Este erro ocorre quando algum arquivo foi movido de um pacote para outro em uma versão mais recente.

No seu caso, dpkg tentando extrair o arquivo shotwell.svg de /var/cache/apt/archives/shotwell_0.15.1-1~saucy1_i386.deb para /usr/share/icons/hicolor/24x24/apps/ directory.Mas já havia um arquivo shotwell.svg nesse diretório.Então, esse tipo de erro ocorre.

Ao executar o comando dpkg -i --force-overwrite , o arquivo shotwell.svg localizado anteriormente foi forçado a ser substituído pelo arquivo do /var/cache/apt/archives/shotwell_0.15.1-1~saucy1_i386.deb durante a instalação.

Tente estes comandos,

sudo dpkg -r shotwell-common
sudo apt-get install shotwell

apt-get pode ou não funcionar neste caso de remover shotwell-common package.

Você deve relatar essas coisas ao proprietário do PPA. Ele não está separando arquivos específicos que não são de arquitetura ou definindo que o shotwell quebra / tem conflitos com o pacote shotwell-common.

A maneira correta de fazer isso é remover o pacote shotwell-common do repositório e depois instalar o do ppa:

sudo apt-get purge shotwell-common
sudo apt-get install shotwell

Isso evitará dores de cabeça durante a atualização de pacotes.
