Por que recebo o "Wireless indisponível"?

Eu instalei o Ubuntu 12.04. no meu Dell Inspirion Mini 1018. Depois de fazer uma das atualizações regulares, meu wifi parou de funcionar, e isso me dá a mensagem Wireless is disabled by hardware switch .

Como posso ativá-lo? Tentei abrir conexões de rede, mas lá eu encontrei: Wireless Unavailable. Hardware Address 1C:65:9D:68:9E:6B

Então eu tentei testar o sistema, ele me dá uma mensagem:

Não tenho certeza, mas suponho que isso não tenha nada a ver com o Ubuntu: você precisa pressionar uma tecla do teclado para ativar a placa (por exemplo, Fn + F12 keys)
