Não é possível redimensionar HDD externo de 500 Gb

Estou tentando rezizer meu hdd portátil externo de 500GB mas eu não posso ... eu tenho o seguinte no gparted

O que pode valer a pena também, não tendo certeza de que foi feito, apesar de ver o - em uso, parece que uma - força é tentada.

Não tenho certeza de qual valor será obtido pelo redimensionamento de partições no disco rígido quando estiver cheio. Você pode querer compactar alguns dos arquivos na unidade antes de tentar redimensionar e reparticionar a unidade, pois isso pode gerar mais espaço valioso para executar o espaço desejado para redimensionar, em vez de tentar usar espaço limitado para uma nova repartição.
