Ok, sei que há muitos tópicos como esse, mas tentei todas as soluções e eles não funcionaram. Assim... Eu tenho tentado atualizar meus pacotes usando o sudo apt-get upgrade -f e toda vez, recebi esta mensagem de erro:

Parece que você está usando cores vivas (porque você tem plymouth 0.9), mas você tem o pacote libplymouth2 de trusty (porque trusty é o lançamento mais recente que é fornecido libplymouth2 ).

Remover:

sudo apt purge libplymouth2

Então o dpkg não deve mais reclamar.
