Instalação do Banshee, dependências não atendidas

Estou executando o Ubuntu 15.04 em um Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro Estou tendo problemas para instalar o media player banshee. Quando tento instalar através do Centro de Software, recebo a seguinte notificação:

Então eu tentei instalar via terminal, com este comando:

sudo apt-get -f install banshee

que me deu a seguinte saída:

Eu ainda sou muito novo no Ubuntu, então eu apreciaria as explicações no estilo simplório ... obrigado!

Eu me referi a essa pergunta: Como Eu resolvo dependências não satisfeitas depois de adicionar um PPA? que eu não acho que foi eficaz- Eu posso não estar seguindo as instruções apropriadamente, parece um pouco não relacionado a mim. aqui está o meu histórico de terminal da solução de problemas que tentei da pergunta:

Eu tive o mesmo problema com o banshee (dependência do libglib2.0 2.44.1). Parece que o banshee saiu do repositório proposto mais cedo do que a libglib da qual ele depende.

Consegui contornar isso da seguinte maneira:

  1. Ativar proposta vívida
  2. Atualize o libglib

    sudo apt-get install libglib2.0-0/vivid-proposed libglib2.0-bin/vivid-proposed
    
  3. Desativar proposta
  4. Instalar / atualizar o banshee

Provavelmente não é o caminho mais limpo (presumivelmente esperando por 2.44.1), mas funcionou para mim.
