Não há eventos de hardware na lista de execução no PC com CPU Intel Core i7-4770 executando o Ubuntu Server?

Tenho um excelente desktop com a CPU Intel Core i7-4770 @ 3.4GHz.

Lá, eu instalei o servidor Ubuntu 15.04. Depois eu instalei linux-tools-generic e linux-tools-common para instalar ferramentas perf. No entanto, quando executo perf list , a seção de hardware não está lá, nem mesmo "não suportada". A única outra coisa que fiz antes é instalar o xen, e o Ubuntu está atualmente rodando como Dom0. Não tenho certeza se isso pode ter algum efeito no meu problema.

Eu gostaria de saber qual é o meu problema? É a própria CPU que não tem suporte para eventos de hardware? Ou é o kernel do repositório que não tem eventos de hardware habilitados? Se for apenas kernel, acho que vou ter que

Eu também não encontrei nenhum evento de hardware listado, até depois de usar alguns. Agora, mesmo depois de uma nova reinicialização, alguns estão listados:
