Curioso sobre os resultados do UnixBench, o meu HD está configurado corretamente?

Eu baixei o UnixBench 5.1.3 e o executei no meu antigo Dell 4600 e no meu mais recente Gateway SX2800. Com um 2,4 Ghz P4, a Dell é atingida pelos testes de CPU realizados pelo Gateway com Q8200 quad core a 2,3 GHz.

O surpreendente é que a antiga Dell com uma unidade Maxtor STM3200820A (ATA) é muito mais rápida do que o mais novo Gateway com um WDC WD6400AAKS-22A7B2 (SATA) em testes de arquivos. Por exemplo:

OK, eu percebi isso. Este é o imposto "diretório pessoal criptografado".

Voltei a executar o teste no meu notebook, dentro e fora da minha casa criptografada e obtive estes resultados:

A moral da história para mim é que, embora as casas criptografadas sejam boas, lembre-se de não usá-las para tarefas com uso intensivo de disco, especialmente aquelas que não exigem segurança.
