Atualização parcial - por que remover o MariaDB?

Meu sistema 12.04 quer executar uma atualização parcial, como parte da qual ele propõe remover certos pacotes MariaDB (veja a captura de tela abaixo). Anexado está o meu arquivo sources.list - Eu não entendo porque o sistema deveria estar propondo a remoção dos pacotes MariaDB, uma vez que eu escolhi explicitamente o MariaDB como um substituto para o MySQL?

MariaDB cobre isso em seu artigo sobre a instalação de pacotes deb, a melhor maneira de corrigi-lo é fixando o repositório MariaDB. O que você pode fazer seguindo estas instruções: link ( se você rolar para cima, eles também explicam por que isso acontece)

Se você está tentando um dist-upgrade (parece que sim?) pode ser com o Ubuntu comentando repositórios estrangeiros enquanto atualiza para uma versão mais nova. Além disso, não deve haver um incidente, onde o MariaDB é desinstalado (se não foi instalado como uma dependência) automaticamente.
