Para desativar o download de traduções, crie um arquivo chamado /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/99translations & amp; coloque o seguinte:

Acquire::Languages "none";

Você também pode precisar remover arquivos de tradução existentes em / var / lib / apt / lists /

Apenas para o registro (uma vez que alguns irão tropeçar neste) o arquivo 99Translations acima fará com que o apt barf - remova a linha "Packages: *" - apenas uma linha é suficiente:

Ativar o pipelining para agrupar essas solicitações, o que é muito mais rápido:

Acquire::http { Pipeline-Depth "200"; }

Mas, na minha experiência, isso pode resultar em downloads quebrados; códigos de erro http parecem cascata ou algo assim. Deve ser seguro o suficiente se você estiver falando com o apt-cacher-ng (modo de espelho ou modo de proxy). Caso contrário, esteja preparado para desativá-lo se o seu espelho quebrar.

Aconselho contra a configuração de idiomas para none , porque ele quebra apt-cache search (nenhum significa nenhum, quando pesquisas úteis precisariam de descrições em pelo menos um idioma). O padrão baseado no código de idioma inclui variantes regionais desnecessárias, mas algo assim:

Acquire::Languages { "fr"; "en"; };

Encontrei isso como eu estava procurando por uma solução também. Foi uma nova instalação do teste Debian. O comando a seguir (como sugerido acima) corrigiu:

Vá para Suporte a idiomas e clique em Instalar / remover idiomas ... e desmarque os idiomas que não deseja.

Se você removeu todos os idiomas, o padrão será o inglês genérico. Observe que os pacotes en-US são considerados um idioma separado, portanto, você precisa desmarcar o inglês para desinstalar seus pacotes.
