Estou tentando atualizar de 11,10 para 12,04.
Eu estava fazendo a atualização na sessão X de 11,10 i386. Eu estava no meio da instalação quando o X congelou. Então eu fiz uma reinicialização. Quando reiniciou, eu já estava na versão 12.04, mas com o problema da tela preta. Então eu adicionei o nomodeset às opções do grub.
Eu executei os comandos: %código% para instalar os pacotes ausentes (por causa do congelamento do X). No total, os comandos instalados / atualizados cerca de 1 GB a mais.
Mas não X ainda. Então eu desinstalei os pacotes fglrx e tentei instalar o pacote amd ati (fornecedor). Ele dá alguns erros (erros de compilação), então eu limpei e reinstalei os pacotes ubuntu fglrx e fglrx-amdcccle.
PROBLEMA ATUAL: Não X ainda.
Quando eu executo o comando:
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
uma saída estranha acontece (relacionada ao grupo de links i386-linux-gnu_gl_conf):

Mas parece que foi instalado corretamente e compilou todos os módulos para o kernel atual.

Eu tentei executar o X sem drivers fglrx e com. Eu gasto muito tempo com este problema e eu realmente me pergunto se eu posso resolvê-lo de largura para fora reinstalando o Ubuntu a partir do zero.
