Instalei o Ubuntu 10.04 no meu notebook HP dv6-1245 dx e não tenho nenhum wifi (funcionou perfeitamente no windows vista e 7). Eu segui um monte de instruções encontradas na net, mas ainda não consegui obter Internet.

Eu usei o ndiswrapper e o instalei, assim como os drivers do Windows para a Broadcom, sem alterações.
Abra um terminal e instale o seguinte:
sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer firmware-b43legacy-installer
Se "Um dispositivo BCM4312 de baixa potência (LP-PHY) não suportado foi encontrado." também instale
sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-lpphy-installer
Em seguida, reinicie

sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer
e se isso falhar, remova-o e tente sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source
