Problema sem fio no HP Pavilion G6

Eu tenho uma placa sem fio da Broadcom no meu laptop e a rede sem fio não está funcionando corretamente. Bem na frente do roteador, o sinal sem fio é de 70% e do outro lado da sala ele mal funciona e em outra sala ele se desconecta. Eu tenho os drivers e tudo mais. Estou executando o Ubuntu 11.10 64bit. Funciona perfeitamente no Windows 7. Alguém pode ajudar?

Meu laptop HP daquela época tinha uma placa de rede sem fio R6168 (mostra via lspci), mas muitas vezes os drivers de rede R6169 são carregados. O R6169 funcionará, mas, dependendo do roteador, a conexão terá dificuldades e você verá a rede subir e descer muito, matando o throughput. Você terá a mesma incompatibilidade se tiver o cartão R8111.

Solução: instale o Drivers R6168 da Realtek . Eles não foram instalados automaticamente como deveriam.
