Intel 3945ABG wifi vê apenas algumas redes

Isso é meio estranho.

O roteador está bem definido e eu posso vê-lo de um Mac e de dois telefones celulares. É protegido por WEP e não escondido ou outros truques, como vem da caixa. Meu Ubuntu é 10.04 no HP Pavillion DV1000.

Quando tento conectar-me a partir do Ubuntu, ele vê outras redes (10 ou mais), mas não as minhas. Eu tentei reiniciar, ifconfig up / down, rfkill bloquear / desbloquear wifi, instalando b43-fwcutter e nada funciona.

Eu gostaria de receber sugestões. Obrigado

A correção. Parece que este wifi não suporta o canal 13, que foi dado automaticamente pelo meu roteador. Forçá-lo a um canal suportado (10) resolveu o problema.

Para ver as redes Wi-Fi disponíveis, você provavelmente quer fazer:

sudo iwlist scan

Por lshw -C network você listou interfaces de rede e sua configuração atual.
