O Ubuntu 14.10 é uma versão obsoleta e, se você quiser usar, atualize & amp; instalar pacotes, então você precisa alterar o seu repositório.
Você pode fazer isso da seguinte maneira:
Abra o Terminal & amp; executar:
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Substitua o URL in.archive.ubuntu.com e security.ubuntu.com por old-releases.ubuntu.com
salve e feche.
Agora execute sudo apt-get update
e depois, instale os pacotes que você deseja instalar.
