Não é possível montar o volume NTFS; fixntfs não resolve o problema [duplicado]

Estou tentando montar um disco rígido USB com o NTFS. O Ubuntu exibe esta mensagem eror:

sudo fixntfs não resolveu o problema.

Como posso consertar o volume do Ubuntu?

O ntfsfix só pode executar tarefas básicas de reparo do NTFS. Sua principal funcionalidade é marcar o sistema de arquivos para que o Windows o escaneie automaticamente.
