Question

Não consigo instalar o R-base-core porque a libpng12-0 não pode ser instalada. tentando instalar apenas libpng12-0 eu recebo %código% Eu vi um número de posts sobre como adicionar repos diferentes, mas todos eles não fizeram nada ou deram Package 'libpng12-0' has no installation candidate

Passei um bom tempo tentando instalar o R hoje à noite.

Você deve baixar o repositório de R para a sua versão do Ubuntu, ou seja, Artful e não xenial. Primeiro tente baixar e instalar o libpng12-0 como em E: O pacote 'libpng12-0' não tem um candidato de instalação [ubuntu 16.10 Gnome] .

Em seguida, o r-base-core dessa versão deve ser baseado no libreadline6, que não está mais disponível. Assim, baixe a versão do ubuntu artful e remova as seguintes linhas de sources.list
