Acabei de receber meu primeiro chipset Wi-Fi: o cartão sem fio USB Atheros AR9271, mas ao conectá-lo ao meu dispositivo, ele não parece ser reconhecido.
Depois de ler este link em francês do doc.ubuntu-fr.org , não parece que seja compatível com 16.04 versão do Ubuntu. Antes de ser condenado a comprar outro, eu adoraria ouvir sua opinião sobre isso.

Parece ser a linha sobre as Redes IMC, já que é a única que varia.
Eu desconectei o dispositivo, como root, executei journalctl -fa e pluguei o dispositivo. O seguinte apareceu no log:
