Tenho o Ubuntu 17.04 em execução em um Toshiba Portege Z30-C Z30-C. Desde dois dias atrás eu tenho um problema de tela apagando após 32 segundos de inatividade. Se o áudio estiver tocando, ele continua tocando, mas a tela fica preta. O comando xset -q produz esta saída:

para que o culpado não seja o DPMS como sugerido aqui: ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64bit - a tela fica preta a cada 15 segundos .
