Minha pergunta original era esta: Bluetooth não detecta qualquer dispositivo [Ubuntu 16.04]

mas foi marcado como duplicado, mas não consegui encontrar a solução nem mesmo aqui: Bluetooth Broadcom 43142 não está funcionando no Ubuntu

Então, como posso corrigir esse problema: "O Bluetooth não detecta nenhum dispositivo. Ele simplesmente continua pesquisando e pesquisando."

Foi recomendado para mim que eu encontrasse outro driver do Windows para este adaptador, que eu não sei como fazer.

Este é um novo dispositivo. Faça o download do este driver

Abra-o com o Gerenciador de arquivos e extraia a pasta

drivers/DP_Bluetooth_16123/Broadcom/FORCED/8110x64/12.0.1.1011

Lá você verá bcbtums.inf arquivo e firmware hex arquivos.

O firmware do seu adaptador 04ca:2012 é BCM43142A0_001.001.011.0311.0339.hex .

Converta-o para BCM.hcd usando hex2hcd e copie-o para /lib/firmware/brcm .

De um modo geral, você pode encontrar drivers do Windows para novos adaptadores BT por pesquisa na Internet. No seu caso, encontrei este driver por vid_04ca&pid_2012 .
