O erro completo que está sendo escrito milhares de vezes em meu syslog é

Por causa disso meu syslog de ontem às 7:35 até hoje às 7:35 da manhã quando ele está girando é - 238121171 29 de dezembro 07:35 syslog.1 na verdade é tão grande que por alguma razão ele não foi compactado. Syslog de hoje até agora é 40027866 29 de dezembro 16:57 syslog e imagino que amanhã de manhã ele estará perto do mesmo tamanho de ontem.
Então, a questão é o que está causando isso e como posso solucionar o problema e corrigi-lo?
