Micro-congelamento contínuo no Ubuntu 14.04

Desde há alguns meses, sofro contínuos congelamentos do meu sistema (Dell XPS 13 2014, i7, Ubuntu 14.04). Se não estou enganado, eles apareceram pela primeira vez em um momento em que os fãs do meu laptop quebraram, então o sistema congelava aleatoriamente (e ficava congelado). Agora eu substituí os fãs e os "congelamentos totais" desapareceram; mas ainda experimento micro-congelamentos muito irritantes (~ ½ segundo): o trabalho usual não é muito afetado, mas assistir a um vídeo do youtube ou ouvir spotify tornou-se praticamente impossível; Não consigo entender se isso é um problema de BIOS, CPU ou Ubuntu.

Deixem-me copiar e colar o syslog dos últimos 30 minutos ou mais: o fato de meu trackpad perder a sincronização muitas vezes parece um sintoma, não a causa dos congelamentos.
