Ubuntu 16.10 lento em novo PC com processador i3

Eu apenas construí um novo PC com uma configuração modesta com processador i3, 8GB de RAM e 2TB HD, nada maluco. Eu instalei o Ubuntu 16.10 como o sistema operacional, mas ele é executado extremamente lento, eu sou um usuário do Ubuntu pela primeira vez, ouvi dizer que ele deve rodar muito suave e rápido. Meu processador está lento ou poderia ter feito algo errado, ou então preciso fazer outra coisa para aumentar a velocidade.

Se você usar o adaptador gráfico na CPU (o i3-6100 incorpora gráficos Intel 530) tente: Terminal aberto (aplicativo de linha de comando, como cmd no windows)

# sudo apt-get update
# sudo apt-get upgrade
# sudo apt-get install --reinstall xserver-xorg-video-intel
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Depois disso, reinicie. Acho que poderia resolver o problema

Se você usa uma placa gráfica externa PCI-e precisa saber qual AMD / ATI ou nVidia foram instalados.
