Estou tentando instalar o MySQL no Ubuntu 16.04. Analisei vários posts aqui e serverfault para tentar resolver o problema, mas ainda persiste.
Eu instalei o MySQL usando:
sudo apt-get install mysql-server
Em seguida, depois de definir a senha do root, a instalação simplesmente trava:
Renaming removed key_buffer and myisam-recover options (if present)
Eu purgou e reiniciei, sem sorte.

To reset your MySQL configuration back to defaults,
type "sudo update-alternatives --remove my.cnf /etc/mysql/my.cnf.migrated" after the upgrade.
Then use "sudo service mysql start" to start the MySQL daemon
and "sudo apt-get -f install" to recover your system packaging state.
