Eu tenho instalado o Ubuntu em um laptop (Samsung QX410-SO2), e embora tenha havido obstáculos, meu monitor Asus DisplayLink é uma das coisas que funcionaram imediatamente após a instalação do driver.
Eu a configurei ontem e estava funcionando bem e se comportando como esperado. Depois de retomar o sono no final do dia, o monitor ficou em branco. Eu precisava ser portátil, então eu não estava preocupada com isso - desliguei e fui embora.
Agora, não consigo que o monitor seja reconhecido. Eu sou muito novo no Ubuntu, mas eu realmente gostaria de fazer isso funcionar novamente.
Para fazê-lo funcionar originalmente, baixei o displaylink-driver-1.0.335.run do displaylink.com. Depois disso, liguei o monitor e, depois de um pequeno atraso, funcionou.

Existe uma pista óbvia aqui de que estou ausente?
Este laptop tem duas placas gráficas - uma placa Intel embutida e uma placa NVidia discreta. Eu mudei para o cartão de intel (usando nvidia prime), reiniciei, e meu monitor está de volta.

Estou postando isso para o caso de poder ajudar alguém no futuro, mas se alguém souber como manter o Asus Monitor funcionando enquanto ainda estiver usando a placa NVidia, esta seria a solução preferida.
