python-wxgtk2.8 para o Ubuntu 14.04

Estou tentando usar o teclado estenográfico da Plover no meu Ubuntu. Existe apenas o pacote python-wxgtk3.0 em apt-get . O layout é apenas para o Python 2.7. O sistema tem o Python 2.7, mas por algum motivo o pacote 3.0 do wxgtk no apt-get .

Como você pode instalar o python-wxgtk2.8 no Ubuntu 14.04 lts?

Veja a parte inferior da página aqui . A versão 3.0 usa o python 2.7. Portanto, é suficiente para o Ubuntu 16.04 (Python 2.7.11+) e 14.04.
