Estou no Ubuntu 14.04.03 plataforma de 32 bits.
No dia anterior, durante a instalação do udev a partir do código-fonte, ele atrapalhou as permissões no meu sistema. Eu consertei algumas das permissões e consegui fazer o login. Percebi que o papel de parede do usuário não está definido na tela de login. Eu reinstalei lightdm e lightdm-gtk-greeter mas não funciona. em /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf se eu definir background= caminho manualmente, ele mostra o papel de parede, mas quando eu mudo o papel de parede do usuário, ele não sincroniza o papel na tela de login.
Testei o lightdm com lightdm --test-mode --debug

Também notei que as opções de energia, como shutdown, reboot, hibernate.. , não estão ativas no lightdm
Como posso consertar isso?
