A instalação do TLP mudará visivelmente o Ubuntu?

Estou executando o Ubuntu 14.04 em um MacBook e estou pensando em instalar o TLP para melhorar a vida da bateria / superaquecimento.

Mas estou curioso para saber se isso alterará as configurações de brilho / funcionalidade da Internet ou Bluetooth, coisas assim.

Alguma coisa que eu notei ou poderia me irritar? Eu estou esperando que seja apenas um programa de fundo um tanto silencioso, é este o caso?

Como conclusão, isso afetará o wifi, bluetooth, Wwan, ... e precisará de alguma configuração manual.

Se você preferir alguns aplicativos daemon para controlar o superaquecimento, tente instalar o thermal com

sudo apt-get install thermald

the 14.04 Ubuntu Trusty LTS release. It monitors thermal sensors and will 
modify cooling controls to keep the hardware cool. Thermald uses the

Pelo que li, parece que o TLP desativará o WiFi e o Bluetooth até que seja necessário, além de controlar o brilho.
