Sobreaquecimento intenso - Como parar?

Eu tenho um ThinkPad T430 executando uma CPU Intel® Core ™ i5-3320M @ 2.60GHz × 4 (IvyBridge) no Ubuntu 14.10.

Eu reinstalei o Ubuntu há algumas semanas. Embora eu sempre achasse que meu notebook está ficando cada vez mais quente do que eu gosto, notei que ele está muito quente em carga de cpu muito baixa . Abaixo, você encontrará uma descrição detalhada desse comportamento.

Eu posso ter um problema de hardware aqui. Mas como a CPU não fica tão quente no Windows (entre 55 e 70 ° C, geralmente), tem que haver um erro de configuração no Ubuntu. O que poderia levar a esse controle da CPU obviamente ruim?

O comportamento

As capturas de tela abaixo foram tiradas com PSensors. A temperatura dos meus dois núcleos físicos é cinza (Escala à esquerda). A carga da CPU é amarela , a velocidade da ventoinha é violeta . Observe que as curvas de velocidade do ventilador e de carga da CPU são relativas! Isso significa que o ponto mais alto tem o valor do valor máximo abaixo listado, o ponto mais baixo tem o valor do respectivo mínimo listado abaixo. Assim, a velocidade da ventoinha parece mais alta na primeira imagem do que na seguinte, embora nunca tenha sido tão baixa como na primeira imagem.

3 kidle_inject sai. A CPU aquece rapidamente novamente. 4 não muito mais do que 2 minutos depois, kidle_inject precisa diminuir a velocidade do processador novamente, pois ele já atingiu temperaturas de 102 ° C novamente. 5 kidle_inject sai novamente. Mas não por muito.

Eu recomendo tentar o thermald que está disponível nos últimos lançamentos do Ubuntu. Se ainda não estiver instalado, tente:

sudo apt-get install thermald

Por padrão, ele tentará identificar maneiras de fazer o resfriamento térmico passivo, mas é possível ajustar um arquivo de configuração para ajustar as regras de resfriamento, se assim desejar. Veja: link para mais detalhes.
