Nova instalação do Ubuntu 14.04.1 (kernel 3.13.0-44), totalmente atualizada (via conexão com fio) e com driver de firmware iwlwifi correto (iwlwifi-7260-8).
Lenovo ThinkPad S440.
Eu posso conectar-me à rede sem fio, aqui no trabalho, tanto no Mac OS X como no Windows 7 e no Ubuntu 14.04 em outro ThinkPad (T500). Eu reiniciei o roteador sem sucesso.
Não entendo bem o que devo fazer para solucionar esse problema e agradeço qualquer ajuda.

Descobri que posso me conectar em casa sem problemas, mas ainda não consigo me conectar no trabalho. O estranho é que eu tenho um velho T500 com o Ubuntu 14.04 que se conecta bem no trabalho.

Eu fiz uma verificação do sistema com checkbox para testar o hardware sem fio e tive uma falha em wireless / wireless_connection. Mas a mensagem de erro é um pouco desconcertante.
