Problema ao instalar e compilar o PHP 5.4.0

Question

Eu tenho um servidor VPS no OVH Cloud, o Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS com o plesk 12 instalado.

O servidor foi configurado com a versão mais recente do PHP, mas o Plesk pode gerenciar duas versões diferentes do PHP no mesmo servidor para o aplicativo mais antigo.

Eu instalaria com este tutorial a versão do php-5.4.0: link

Mas quando eu dou o passo

 ./configure

Parece que na sua variável $ PATH está faltando o caminho do compilador C ou o compilador C não está instalado em seu sistema.
