P.S. Eu sou um novato total no Ubuntu / Linux
Acho que você está usando espelhos HTTPS (veja o erro sobre o driver do método ausente). Você pode querer alternar para um espelho não HTTPS (o espelho padrão geralmente não é HTTPS), instale apt-transport-https e, em seguida, retorne ao seu espelho HTTPS. Em seguida, execute apt-get update e tente instalar os outros pacotes.
