Eu tive exatamente o mesmo problema, a solução é baixar a versão multiarch skype-ubuntu-precision_4.2.0.13-1_i386 ( link )
Para instalar: clique com o botão direito > Abra com o Ubuntu Software Center > Instalar

Faça o download do skype e instale-o no terminal
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of skype: skype
depends on libqtgui4 (>= 4:4.8.0). skype depends on libqtwebkit4 (>=
2.2~2011week36).
Instalar através do terminal
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install skype
