ASUS Z87 Pro Bluetooth não encontrar outros dispositivos com 13.10

O Ubuntu 13.10 instalado em uma máquina com a placa-mãe ASUS Z87 Pro, vem com o "Wi-Fi GO!" rede sem fio embutida, que é baseada em um adaptador de rede sem fio Qualcomm Atheros AR9462 (inclui recursos WiFi + Bluetooth 4).

Posso ativar o Bluetooth, procurar dispositivos, mas ele nunca encontra nada. Eu tenho outra máquina rodando o Windows ao lado e vejo os dispositivos que estou tornando visíveis.

Instalei o Windows na minha máquina e, depois que os drivers foram carregados, consegui usar o Bluetooth sem problemas, por isso o hardware está funcionando corretamente.

Admito que estou um pouco confuso sobre como o Atheros AR9462 funciona, já que o WiFi parece estar no barramento PCI, enquanto o Bluetooth está no USB - pelo menos, é o que eu aprendi.

O problema do Bluetooth ainda não foi resolvido em 14.04, já que é mais um problema de driver suportado do que um bug. Eu pensei em compilar a versão mais recente do Bluez porque achei que não eram drivers. Mas depois de testar o Kernel 3.14 e 3.15 descobri que o Bluetooth estava funcionando. Meu smartphone detectou o Asus Bluetooth e vice-versa.

Então, começando com o suporte ao kernel do Kernel 3.14.x estará disponível para o Asus Z87-Pro

Se você quiser experimentá-lo (Esteja avisado, isso pode criar outros problemas. Nenhum para mim no momento, mas se eu tiver um, vou pular para 3.13): Você precisa ir para link e procure pelo kernel 3.14 ou mesmo 3.15. Como eu tenho a versão de 64 bits de 14.04, usei o seguinte:

Depois de ter baixado os pacotes DEB que você precisa (procure na pasta respectiva os reais que você precisa). Em seguida, coloque-os todos dentro da mesma pasta e execute o seguinte comando dentro dessa pasta:

sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Isso instalará cada pacote DEB encontrado nessa pasta. A imagem a seguir mostra o Ubuntu 14.04 funcionando corretamente com o Bluetooth (usando qualquer kernel de 3.14 e acima). O Ubuntu 14.10 simplesmente sai da caixa:

A imagem está usando um fone de ouvido Samsung (HM1200). Funciona corretamente com o Hangouts, Skype, VLC e ouvindo música.
