Não é possível reinstalar o VirtualBox no Ubuntu 16.04

Acabei de atualizar para o Ubuntu 16.04 a partir de 15.10 e meu VirtualBox não quer mais iniciar. Eu tentei purgar virtualbox , virtualbox-dkms e vagrant do meu sistema e parece funcionar (eu não sou um sysadmin de todo btw, então mantenha-o simples estúpido). Depois que eu reinstalar usando o DEB on-line ou usando apt-get , obtenho isso no final:

Eu tentei olhar para dmesg , mas não tenho idéia do que fazer com essa pilha de informações e duvido que isso tudo valha a pena. Se você sabe onde devo procurar, será um prazer incluir uma parte dela!

Começando com o VBox e tentando subir em uma das minhas caixas vagantes, mostrei que eu deveria ter corrido modprobe como root. Recebi esta mensagem ao executar sudo modprobe vboxdrv :

Eu encontrei a resposta, foi aquela coisa de inicialização segura instalada pelo Ubuntu durante a atualização. As instruções não foram claras sobre como remover essa coisa de inicialização segura, mas eu consegui fazê-lo.

  1. Reinicie o computador depois de instalar os drivers DKMS para VBOX
  2. Você será solicitado com uma tela azul com duas opções: aguardar ou alterar as configurações do MDK
  3. Ao escolher alterar as configurações do MDK e inserir os caracteres da senha conforme solicitado, você deve pressionar a tecla correspondente ao índice de caracteres solicitado e, em seguida, pressionar ENTER.
  4. Depois de inserir 2 ou 3 caracteres, eles perguntarão se você deseja remover a inicialização segura, diga sim!
  5. O computador será reiniciado, assim que você voltar, deverá funcionar!

Eu tive o mesmo problema ao atualizar para o Ubuntu 16.04 e encontrei a seguinte mensagem de erro:

Starting VirtualBox kernel modules ...failed!
  (modprobe vboxdrv failed. Please use 'dmesg' to find out why)

Também foi causado pela inicialização do UEFI. A solução é bem simples:

  1. Reinicialize sua máquina e entre no menu da BIOS (no meu caso, pressionando F2)
  2. Pesquise por inicialização segura e mude para Legado

    Em uma placa-mãe ASUS:

    • Ir para o modo avançado (F7)
    • Entre na opção Inicialização segura na seção Inicialização
    • Alterar "modo UEFI do Windows" com "Outro sistema operacional"
    • Salve e reinicie para aplicar as configurações (F10)
  3. Depois de reiniciar, verifique se os drivers estão carregados

Tipo:

sudo /sbin/rcvboxdrv setup

E você deve receber
