Apenas para registros, mudei para o Ubuntu 12.04 x84_64 e tudo funcionou perfeitamente. Apenas instalando as dependências e nenhum erro ocorreu. No entanto, não sei porque não funcionou com o Ubuntu 12.04 i386.
Estou tentando instalar o GCC 4.8 no Ubuntu 12.04, mas durante o make recebo o erro mostrado abaixo onde a compilação é anulada. (Pelo que sei, tenho todos os pré-requisitos satisfeitos já que eu já compilei, instalei e executei o gcc 4.7.2 no meu sistema. Eu gerencio diferentes versões do gcc usando o gerenciador de pacotes 'stow'.)
Alguém tem uma solução ou uma pista para uma solução, por favor?
