Quando insiro um DVD na minha unidade (em um laptop) usando o Kubuntu 12.04, o DVD não é detectado. A unidade leva o DVD, eu posso ouvi-lo mastigando por um tempo, e depois nada. Mesmo ejetar o DVD se torna um incômodo, eu preciso fazer isso no momento da inicialização, caso contrário, o sistema operacional não permitirá que eu ejete.
O Kubuntu 12.04 costumava ler e montar os mesmos DVDs há apenas uma semana.
Editar: desde que eu possa inicializar a partir do CD, posso seguramente assumir que o problema não é um problema de hardware?
Como posso corrigir isso?
