Falha de segmentação do Scilab 6.0.0 (núcleo despejado) no início

Question

Eu tenho Scilab 6.0.0 no Ubuntu 16.04 LTS e estava funcionando muito bem até ontem. Tentei executar o programa via terminal ( ./bin/scilab ) e recebi o erro "Falha de segmentação (núcleo despejado)".

Eu já atualizei e atualizei o Ubuntu e esta versão do Scilab é a mais recente. Procurando uma resposta para o meu problema Eu tentei rodar o Scilab em uma sessão de depuração no gdb e recebi isso:

Sou apenas um usuário comum e não sei como proceder. Não sei se isso é importante, mas também tenho o Windows 10 neste computador, mas acho que não alterei nada no Windows ou no Ubuntu para causar esse problema.

Execute este código em um console de terminal antes de executar seu programa:

export JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS=-Xss1280k

É conhecida a regressão do kernel 4.4.0-81-genérico. Isso afeta muitos aplicativos que usam Java: link . Inicialize com a versão anterior do kernel ou aguarde o lançamento futuro do kernel.
