Não há wifi / ethernet no novo Ubuntu 14.04 lts

Question

Acabei de instalar o Ubuntu 14.04 no meu novo T470 e não consigo me conectar à internet, não consigo ver as redes wifi e a Ethernet com fio. Não consegui resolver o problema com as sugestões na internet.

Instale o Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS e seu adaptador sem fio funcionará imediatamente.

Seu hardware Intel Corporation Device [8086:24fd] (rev 78) não é suportado pela versão 14.04 do Ubuntu.
