Recentemente eu migrei o Kubuntu e o KDE e removi tudo relacionado ao Gnome (com algumas exceções, é claro). Eu li alguns e aprendi que o Kubuntu tem seus próprios repositórios. Sim, como izx disse, você não deve remover nenhum repositório e o Kubuntu tem os mesmos pacotes básicos disponíveis como o Ubuntu, mas diferentes instalados.
No entanto, uma das primeiras coisas que faço em uma nova instalação do Kubuntu é adicionar ppa:kubuntu-ppa/ppa , porque os repositórios oficiais não suportam novas versões do KDE ... Eu recomendo-o também; Eu nunca tive problemas com isso, porque novas versões do KDE também foram testadas corretamente.
ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports também pode valer a pena adicionar quando uma nova versão do Ubuntu for lançada e você usar um mais antigo e não quer atualizar. Este repositório continuará recebendo novas versões do KDE enquanto o .../ppa one ficará quieto e passará para a próxima versão do Ubuntu.
