O que a quarta coluna em ls -l significa

column 1 defines type of file and file permissions.** 
column 2 defines - i d k 
column 3 identifies owner of the file
column 4 identifies - a user but not sure of the association
column 5 file size
column 6 month of creation 
column 7 day of creation
column 8 time of creation
column 9 filename

alguém pode preencher os detalhes que eu perdi para a coluna 2 e coluna 4? e gentilmente validar meu entendimento. Eu emiti o dono do arquivo, então espero que alguns esclarecimentos possam ajudar a resolver meu problema.

A quarta coluna é o grupo ao qual o arquivo / diretório / ativo pertence. Execute o comando groups para ver a quais grupos você pertence.
