Problema gráfico com o Kubuntu

Estou tendo um problema gráfico estranho com o gerenciador de janelas no Kubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Algum tempo depois de usar o sistema, percebo alguns artefatos que afetam o Windows. Estou anexando alguns exemplos

Isso torna o sistema inutilizável: por exemplo, se eu clicar em um ícone no Dolphin, os ícones da pasta "parent" não desaparecem e se sobrepõem aos ícones da pasta que acabei de clicar.

Eu não consegui isolar o que causa esse comportamento: quando eu inicio o sistema, ele funciona muito bem, depois de algum tempo acontece o que é mostrado nas imagens.

Editar: Esse problema aconteceu novamente, eu notei quando o pc estava rodando por 3 horas. Obrigado ellisistfroh, eu lancei em um terminal os comandos que você sugeriu. Não parece um problema do Xorg. Eu não acho que é um problema de superaquecimento, porque se eu sair / login o problema desaparece. Eu também tentei reiniciar o KWin, mas sem sucesso.

Editar 3: Como sugerido por @ellisfroth, instalei o openjdk-6. Eu estava enfrentando esse problema esta manhã e o problema foi resolvido sem reinicializar.

Se o erro apareceu de agora em diante (informações ausentes de u), isso pode vir de uma atualização confusa.

Você pode justificar isso consultando o seu APT-History:   $ var / log / apt / history.log

$ java -version

informa qual é a versão instalada. Aguardando resposta de você ...

Se o problema persistir, devemos dar uma olhada nos arquivos de log para encontrar erros via Terminal / Konsole (apenas os comandos C & amp; P):

egrep "EE|WW" /var/log/Xorg.0.log*

lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 vga

tail -n 50 ~/.xsession-errors

Não faz sentido adivinhar a partir de agora. Poderia até ser um efeito de superaquecimento ou os sinais de uma placa gráfica. Verifique se há poeira nos ventiladores! Ou alguns PPA.

O.k. Já que agora sabemos que é um laptop híbrido com um Intel HD4000 / Nvidia GT650M - precisamos de mais informações:
