Não é possível fazer o login depois de jogar com o arquivo rc.local

Question

Eu estava tentando executar um comando de terminal na inicialização no meu Ubuntu 14.04.02

xrdb ~/.Xresources

Eu encontrei este método no super usuário no qual o arquivo /etc/init.d/rc.local é editado. Como mencionado nessa postagem, adicionei meu código ao início do arquivo rc.local usando os privilégios de root e o salvei.

mas depois de reiniciar não consigo "corretamente" fazer o login no sistema. Após o login no sistema, só consigo ver home folder e trash folder na minha área de trabalho. No painel, barra de lavagem observando quando eu tentei abrir pasta de casa Eu sou capaz de chegar a pasta de casa, mas depois que a navegação não é possível (incluindo pesquisa) sistema trava. Alguma ideia de como resolver este problema

A resposta diz: /etc/rc.local e não /etc/init.d/rc.local

Use Ctrl + Alt + F1 para um terminal. Faça o login e abra /etc/init.d/rc.local :

sudo nano /etc/init.d/rc.local

Remover isto:

# Resource file load
xrdb ~/.Xresources
#End

E, além disso, a linha xrdb ~/.Xresources não faz nenhum sentido.

Depois disso:

sudo service rc.local restart
sudo service lightdm restart

Ou em outras palavras: use o TTY1 para corrigir suas alterações.
