O Update Manager no Ubuntu 12.04 congela a cada vez [fechado]

Quando o botão Instalar Atualizações é pressionado no Gerenciador de Atualizações, o Gerenciador de Atualizações congela.

permissões em seus pacotes python possivelmente não estão funcionando, mude sua permissão usando-

sudo chown -R $USER /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/

- Substitua USER pelo seu nome de login, se isso não funcionar, verifique a saída de -

/usr/lib/ubuntu-sso-client/ubuntu-sso-login

Se lançar algum erro ImportError: No module named pkg_resources

então a razão por trás disso poderia ser o pacote de ferramentas de configuração foi excluído no meu ambiente Python. para resolver isso, use o seguinte script -

curl https://bitbucket.org/pypa/setuptools/raw/bootstrap/ez_setup.py | python

Tente executar os seguintes comandos como alternativa:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Isso executará as atualizações para você, talvez depois que elas forem executadas, seu gerenciador de atualização funcionará.
