12.04 - O Steam está sendo executado no monitor do sistema, mas não abrirá [duplicado]

Estou no Ubuntu 12.04, e instalei o Steam e o executei anteriormente, mas nos últimos 2-3 dias, sempre que eu tento rodar o Steam, ele abre uma caixa de diálogo que diz Verificando a instalação e fecha e nada acontece. Quando eu tento rodar o Steam através do terminal, isso me dá isto:

Basta executar rm -Rf ~/.steam/steam/appcache
