Problemas com o Intel Centrino Wirless-N 1000

Eu tenho tido problemas com a configuração do meu wifi no Ubuntu 12.04. Instalei na semana passada e, desde então, tive o mesmo problema que a maioria, pois a conexão nunca era estável e tinha um pop-up pedindo senha a cada 20 segundos. Eu tentei adicionar o options iwlagn 11n_disable=0 a /etc/modprobe.d/iwlagn.conf mas nunca consegui trabalhar. No processo de passar por métodos encontrados neste site, parece que tirei o cartão wifi.

Agora tenho uma rede não reivindicada para wlan0 e não é vista em iwconfig .

Eu indico uma possível correção para isso no post link , estou copiando a resposta abaixo:

Eu tenho um Dell XPS 17 (l702x) com um n-1000. Eu gostaria de trabalhar com o Ubuntu 12.04 (uma vez instalado). Então, emprestando muito do este post :

A correção parece envolver o downgrade do firmware do n-1000.

Por favor, faça o downgrade do firmware com iwlwifi-1000-ucode-128.50.3.1.tgz (para facilitar, salve-o em sua área de trabalho). Você pode clicar com o botão direito do mouse e selecionar "Extrair" ou emitir o seguinte em um terminal:

tar xzvf ~/Desktop/iwlwifi-1000-ucode-128.50.3.1.tgz 

Novamente, no terminal, faça o backup do firmware atual:

sudo mv /lib/firmware/iwlwifi-1000-5.ucode /lib/firmware/iwlwifi-1000-5.bak

Copie agora o firmware transferido:

cd Desktop/iwlwifi-1000-ucode-128.50.3.1/
cp iwlwifi-1000-3.ucode iwlwifi-1000-5.ucode
sudo cp iwlwifi-1000-5.ucode /lib/firmware
sudo modprobe -r iwlagn
sudo modprobe iwlagn

Agora vamos ver o que aconteceu sob o capô:

dmesg | tail -n20

Isso foi testado e confirmado na postagem original e é considerado uma correção permanente (ou seja, ainda está funcionando após uma reinicialização).
