Não é possível adicionar o JAVA 8 PPA [UBUNTU 16.04]

Estou tentando instalar o Java 8 em minha máquina. Sempre que digito o seguinte comando:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java

Se você está trabalhando por trás do proxy, defina o proxy do sistema nesses dois arquivos.

edite o arquivo /etc/apt/apt.conf e adicione as seguintes linhas ...

Acquire::http::proxy "http://username:password@host:port/";
Acquire::https::proxy "https://username:password@host:port/";

edite o arquivo / etc / environment e adicione as seguintes linhas.

http_proxy=http://username:password@host:port/
https_proxy=https://username:password@host:port/

Em seguida, use

sudo -E add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java
