De repente, o grub menu começou a mostrar

Eu tenho um laptop Ubuntu puro (sem inicialização dupla). Hoje, quando eu reiniciei, de repente o menu do grub começou a aparecer. Depois que eu seleciono o Ubuntu, ele inicializa as botas normalmente. Então minhas perguntas são:

1. Por que começou a aparecer de repente?
2. Como posso escondê-lo?

Você precisa fazer uma pequena alteração no arquivo /etc/default/grub para corrigir esse problema.

Abra um terminal no painel do Unity e faça os seguintes comandos ...

• gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub
• encontre a linha, perto da parte superior do arquivo, que parece com GRUB_TIMEOUT=10
• altere GRUB_TIMEOUT=10 para ler GRUB_TIMEOUT=0
• salve e saia do gedit
• sudo update-grub
• reboot
