Verifique a quantidade de RAM no servidor

Existe uma maneira de verificar um servidor (sem abri-lo e fisicamente) com a quantidade de memória RAM que está na caixa em termos de quantos slots estão livres. Também preciso saber quanto RAM poderia levar?

Eu sei que posso verificar / proc / meminfo para a memória RAM, mas estou mais preocupado com o tipo de memória RAM quantos slots são livres / tirados. ou seja, eu preciso saber quanto eu posso adicionar e que tipo adicionar a um determinado, mas não tenho idéia de como fazê-lo.

Uma boa ferramenta (além de dmidecode ) é lshw .

Por exemplo,

Outra opção é o comando lshw (man page) - ele fornece resultados sobre muitas coisas, incluindo os slots de RAM. A saída completa é muito longa, mas sudo lshw -short fornece um resumo incluindo uma linha por slot de RAM, independentemente de haver ou não RAM no slot. Ou para informações completas sobre RAM, mas omitindo tudo o mais que você poderia fazer sudo lshw -class memory .

Se o tipo 17 não fizer isso por você, tente um dos outros tipos de memória listados aqui , por exemplo 6 ou 37.
