Depois de clean instalar o 12.04 (Release Candidate) e aceitar todas as atualizações e upgrades até hoje, descubro que sudo apt-get update invariavelmente busca informações no intervalo de MB, cerca de 12 MB, enquanto sudo apt-get upgrade principalmente não tem nada para baixar.
As três maiores buscas que vejo são:

http://archive.ubuntu.com precise/universe i386 Packages [4,796 KB]
Tenho certeza de que as buscas de sudo apt-get update não eram tão grandes com 11,10 e raramente cruzavam 1 MB.
Minha pergunta é a seguinte: essas buscas são grandes porque o 12.04 é recente ou essas grandes atualizações são a norma?

Segunda edição: estou incluindo meu presente /etc/apt/sources.list . Isso é após desmarcando a entrada "código-fonte" que estava marcada anteriormente na imagem "outro software".
