google chrome não está funcionando

instalou o Google Chrome no meu laptop. quando eu tento lançá-lo nada acontece. Quando eu executo o comando

este problema ocorre algum tempo quando você não instalou o pacote google-chrome da arquitetura apropriada (quando instalar 32bit package na máquina 64bit ). Em seguida, é necessário que alguns pacotes, como overlay-scrollbar-gtk2 , unity-gtk2-module , libcanberra-gtk-module:i386 etc., instalem esses pacotes ou desinstalem o google-chrome e reinstalem os pacotes de arquitetura apropriados.
após a desinstalação google-chrome , instale-o novamente usando os seguintes passos:

faça o download dos pacotes corretos em aqui
instale-o usando o comando

sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb 

se falhar, instale as dependências executando o comando e, em seguida, instale novamente.

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb 

agora execute o comando no terminal

google-chrome

ou

google-chrome-stable

eu testei instalando no Ubuntu 14.04.
